Stopmotion reflection

I decided my idea to do it with clay because its easy and the items that I had to transform were difficult. My idea did changed, I added some details to the hookah and I changed the background a little bit. I didnt had any challenge, I did everything correctly and it went perfectly. I did enjoy the process of making a stop-motion animation because I really like things to do with photography and art. If I had a chance to redo my animation I think that I would make the elephant walk around the beggining. Animation is a career that I am interested in since I try to do everything perfectly and I dont get frustrated while doing it and I put lost of effort in it. Not only that but, I have a great imagination.

Medium Selection

The medium that I've selected is plasticine. I selected this medium because I think that for my idea it is the easiest one since is a whole single piece. The other mediums that I considered before choosing what I choose is drawing. I could use this medium but i think the effect wouldn't be as cool as using plasticine. The greatest challenge working with this medium is that its going to be very hard to give form to the hookah since its a very difficult sculpture to do. As you can see, the medium that I choose is plasticine.

Stop Motion

Stop Motion is when you take a lot of picture till you get something that looks like a movie. The effect that the viewer gets is a movie full of pictures but they are very similar so it looks like a movie but not very clear and smooth. With Stop Motion you can do things you cant in videos unless is in a computer. For example, if you want to do an effect with no need of the computer you can do it very easily.

I think people would create videos in this manner to show people what they are able to do and to have a bigger effect on the viewer. They want to show how creative they are and the things are moving by themselves, in videos your hands or something would show and it would look as cool. The steps is to take a picture to every little movement you make. You have to be really careful on not messing up because if you do a mistake everything gets ruined and you hae to do it all over again. As you can see, Stop Motion videos are a very cool way to do creative videos.

William Kentridge

William Kentridge's work was outstanding. He is best known for his series of stop-motion animated films, which are made by repeatedly erasing and reworking charcoal drawings. His work makes me feel very surprised and it makes me get the feeling that everything is possible. Kentridge deals with subjects as sobering as apartheid, colonialism, and totalitarianism and his work is often imbued with dreamy.

If I had to explain his work to a blind person I would tell them that it looks like if its a video since the pictures are very well taken and the paintings are well created. Not only that but, it has no color, everything is in black and white. Even though most of his paintings are charcoal drawings, it looks very clean. As you can see, Kentridge's work is a very famous artist that is very well known all over the world.

Vanishing Species

Animal extinction is serious problem that is occurring on Earth. If animals disappear, the changes across the face of the Earth would be dramatic and we as humans wouldn't resist and die. Some causes of animals becoming endangered are habitat loss, pollution, irregulated or illegal killing and disease. Humans are the main cause of animals becoming extinct and it's really sad because most of the people don't care and only think about themselves.

Endangered species need to be take care of extremely good because most causes are caused by humans. The first cause is habitat loss; a habitat is an ecosystem a species needs to live in. Construction of homes, buildings, roads, timber harvesting, loss of farmlands and the creation of farmlands are making the habitat disappear. The second cause is pollution, pollution can be seen in the air, water or ground and it affects dramatically. Toxic substances dumped in a wooded area will destroy the soil and the species that live in it. Not only that but, it will also get into the groundwater below it.

The third cause is irregulated or illegal killing, sometimes this killing is due to ignorance about species and it needs to be strictly controlled.The fourth cause is disease. Most diseases occur naturally,but sometimes humans introduce diseases and problems into a species. The most example is DDT. DDT is an insecticide that was used all over the United States, it was found in water & soil and eventually worked its way up the food chain.

In brief, the vanishing of species is a very alarming situation that needs to be controlled or regulated. This is one of the most important problems in Earth history since amazing and important animals are disappearing causing a lot of panic and harm. People should pay more attention to the problem since it will make a great effect on their life too.

Rotoball project

I'm going to get the ball from the left and I'm going to stretch it into a surfboard. I'm going to go flying to the moon surfing. When i get there I'm going to jump to earth. There, I'm going to grab the moon and throw it into the air. In the air, is going to turn into a firework and the sparkles are going to land on my hand. I'm going to make the sparkles a ball with my hand and throw it to right.

Reflective Audacity

Doing audacity, there were a lot of challenges. The major one was time. I think we had very little time to do everything. I did the last 45 seconds before class. Another challenging part was making the sounds mix together till it sounded good. If I could change something I would chage everything because I did it all lame because I did it very quickly. Also, I would change my sounds. I didn't know there were already made up sounds. I think I didn't do a good work because it didn't sounded good. At least I completed the task and hand it in at time :)

Finished Mash-up

My mash-up ended up pretty well. The mixture of the two songs have the same rythm and sounds great. The special effects Mr.Mark showed us, helped me a lot. I started with this song because its fun. As you can see, my mash-up was very easy to do!

Mash-up

A rythm at the back of the song, one main song makes a good mash-up. As you can see, mash-ups are great songs and can make people very famous.

Artifacts

The process that I went through was very diffucult. First, I had to make the eyes look bubblely. It was hard because if I put too much opacity the eye would completely dissapear. One thing that I like is that it was easy to cut the cheetah. Another thing that I like is that the cheetahs pose and face is perfect for my project. Two things that I dislike is that the black spots of the cheetah are very clear. The other one is that, the hair is very clear too and it makes it look not vey realistic. If I could change my future artifact I would only make it look more watery and hide the very clear black spots and hair.


Renata's artifact for the future is a great idea. I like that its very original and no one from the class repeated it. I also like that It looks very challenging since she had to cut turtle shelfs and put them around the car. In this photoshop I see that she put the car in a sea background. Im impressed because the background and the car look perfect together. I would like to learn how to cut things and put them in other things. The way they fit perfectly on the other things that its attached to. It also looks great since the car is on top of the rocks like if its laying on them.

I would totally like this artifact. This would help alot in the future in the way that you can travel underwater. You can get faster to your destination. Not only that but you get to see the underworld. I think they will do this underwater because its a very good idea. If it was available I would buy it because its awesome! If I had the money I would buy two. As you can see, I think this artifact will be constructed in the future and it will be very efficient.

Water Animal

Water Animals is a very interesting and inportant artifact for the future. I learned to turn things to look watery. Not only that but, I also learned to put pictures in front of other making them look realistic. In the future, if this exist, It would work for watering the plants. The animals would be walking in the garden while watering the plants without noticing. Also, they could be pets. They wouldn't be feed. Also, it could make the room very humid. The animal will be able to swim and if a flood comes, it wouldn't drown. As you can see, water animals could be very useful in the future.

Water Animal

I chose to make water animals. I chose this because its an easy option and its also challenging. I've never done this before. I think is going to turn out well because I'm good and following directions. Water animal can be useful in the future in the way that they can give water to plants by laying on the garden. You don't have to worry about watering them. Not only that but, they can also be pets. They don't eat,poo,pee,make noise, and smell. As you can see, making water animal is a complicated thing to do, but with effort its going to turn out good :)

Family Gathering and Family Tree

Five years ago all my family gathered for Christmas. It was the best Christmas ever because my parents gave me my first cellphone. We all celebrated with fireworks and gifts. Every family made a different food. It was super cool because my dad's family part is HUGE. We stayed up late, everyone left like at 5:00am. Since the reunion was in my house, me and my cousins made a sleepover. I remember this reunion because my cousin fell to the pool because she got scared of some fireworks and the mother bathed her with dog shampoo!

Family Tree!

The most challenging part of my family tree was to get the pictures from all my family members. I got some from facebook and the other pictures from home. I took a picture with my camera and brought my memory and insert it in the computer. I wouldn't change nothing about my final product. I put on all my effort in it and accomplished all the tasks and what was required. I had a hard time making it again because the last one I had erased and I was almost finished. I liked that it deleted because this family tree came up to be even better. As you can see, making my family tree was easy, except for the pictures.

Family Tree Frames

I chose two different frames for my family tree. The frames divide my family's genders. The flower frame is for the females .I chose the flower frame because is beautiful and very easy to put the peoples head on. The plant frame is for the guys. I chose it because they are the plants and the girls are the flower. Its a beautiful conbination. Not only that but most of the mens favorite color is green. As you can see, those are the reasons why I chose those frames.
